Libertines - La reunion è ufficiale?

Ora, non vi allarmate, ma è già il secondo sito che trovo che riporta questa news...


"Looks like The Libertines reunion is actually going ahead, if a tabloid report is to be believed.

According to a new article, the band has now signed a new management deal with plans to reunite in 2010. A source told the Daily Star: "The Libertines will definitely be back next year."

The news contrasts with recent comments made by Carl Barat who ruled-out a reunion anytime soon. He stated that he wouldn't be able to work with Pete Doherty again until 2011 due to work commitments.

The Libertines broke up in 2004, after releasing their second self-titled album."

Praticamente dice che i Libertines avrebbero già firmato un contratto per la realizzazione di un album di nuovo insieme. La reunion sarebbe pianificata per il 2010 ma probabilmente non potranno iniziare a lavorare insieme prima del 2011 per colpa diimpegni solisti presi ni precedenza.

Ragazze... non ci rimane che incrociare bene le dita e sperare che non sia una bufala!

ste voci della reunion sono in campo da un sacco di tempo. pete non ha fatto che dirlo, nel corso di quest'anno, e perfino carl si era lasciato sfuggire un commento favorevole ... ma è più che giusto che prima diano spazio alle cose già accennate, quale il disco solista di carl ecc.

Barat: Libertines reunion tricky

Carl Barat believes there would be "too much furore" if he and Pete Doherty reformed The Libertines.

The indie rocker is about to make his stage debut this month, but Doherty - who was kicked out of the band in 2004 due to his drug addiction - has repeatedly spoken of his desire to work with Barat again.

Barat told The Times: "I'm far too busy at the moment, and there's too much furore that would surround every little movement - if we're going to do it, I'd rather do it properly and give it 100 per cent, but he's a funny one, that Pete..."

Proprio adesso confermo che la reuinion è più che ufficiale!!!!! Peccato che purtroppo la faranno solamente in terra d'Albione!

Pete Doherty, Carl Barat, John Hassall and Gary Powell will reconvene to play second from top of the bill at the August 27-29 event – their first full gigs as a band since the 2004 split.

The group will perform at Leeds on the Friday (August 27) of the festival, before headliners Arcade Fire. They will play in Reading on the Saturday (28).

"We're reforming the band to play the songs that people want to hear," Barat told NME.COM. "We're going to get together, play songs which have been collecting dust in the garage. People want to hear them, so we’re going to give them a run. We'll be playing them like we’re playing them for the last ever time."

Pete Doherty added: "I can’t really believe it yet. I haven’t quite digested it. It’s been a bit of a pipe dream."
